The clamp is designed so as to increase the holding force with increasing tensile force (1);
the tensile force along the rope tends to straighten the same imparting a force perpendicular (2) on the rope to dead head, preventing the sliding.
The clamp withstands up to the breaking load of the rope (tested up 8 mm diameter) and does not lose efficiency over time.
